Welcome to the Critical Legal Studies Wiki. We are currently still at the drafting board, but building has already commenced (ie, check out the Law and Development page).
To be clear, while the Critical Legal Studies movement has left indelible marks on the scholarship and practice of law, this Wiki should not be seen as a late appendage to the movement. By 'Critical Legal Studies', we hope to emphasize the need for critical and diverse investigation of law. The purpose of this Wiki is to provide a platform for collaborative research and discussion about law in its practice and as a strategy. In this sense, this Wiki anticipates that legal discussions intersect and must engage with its social, political, economic, and personal consequences. As important, however, legal study must reawake a sense of danger - put away its normative assesments and test the confines of its disciplinary boundaries to the degree we are willing to be wrong and take responsibility.
Wikia offers a radical new technology to realize these goals. Unlike a blog that has a set limit of designated contributors, Wikia technology allows us all to actually contribute/edit in real time to existing pages. If there is a topic not addressed here, Wikia allows you to post new articles on this site.
Many of the pages provide a basic structure: Introduction, Point of Departure, Body of the Article, Footnotes, and External Links. In addition, upcoming events may be included on the Wiki's 'Current Events' Page.
